In my journey as a cake baker, I often reflect on how my early life shaped my passion for this art. As the eldest of five children in a busy household with two full-time working parents, I quickly took on the role of food and meal management for my siblings. This responsibility not only nurtured my organisational skills but also sparked my love for cooking and baking. I found joy in experimenting with recipes, often whipping up delightful treats for school staff meetings, where my homemade goodies became a favourite.
Moving abroad was a transformative experience for me. Immersed in diverse culinary traditions, I had the opportunity to learn new cooking skills and explore different cuisines. This not only improved my baking techniques but also expanded my palate. Returning to the U.K. after this adventure, I took on the role of nursery school manager for several years, where I balanced managing a team and nurturing young minds. Throughout this time, my passion for baking remained a cherished hobby, allowing me to create special treats for family and friends.

As I baked for loved ones, I began to feel a stronger pull toward making this my calling. Each cake I created was not just a treat but a way to connect with those I cared about. The joy I experienced while crafting cakes for special occasions ignited a vision of blending my managerial experience with my love for baking. I realised I wanted to pursue this passion more seriously.
Eventually, I took the leap to start my own business, specialising in bespoke cakes that cater to various tastes and occasions. Every cake I create is a reflection of my journey—infused with the lessons I learned while managing meals for my siblings, enriched by international flavours, and crafted with the love I’ve always poured into my baking. Today, I find fulfilment in not only creating beautiful, delicious cakes but also connecting with my community through my work.
My story is one of resilience and creativity, reminding me that the sweetest paths are paved with dedication and love.
